Arielle Malard de Rothschild is Managing Director, and member of the Board of Directors of Rothschild & Co, where she founded the Emerging Markets department in Paris in 1999.
She earned a PhD in International Economics from the Paris Institute of Political Studies. Between 1989 and 1999, while at Lazard Frères & Cie, she was an investment banker on the foreign government advisory team and was subsequently involved in mergers and acquisitions in emerging countries. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee of Imerys from 2011 to 2017.
She his also member of the Board of Directors of the Lucien Barrière Group since 2010, of the Board of Directors and a member of the Audit and Appointments Committee of Electrica SA (a company listed on the LSE and BVB) since 2014.
Arielle Malard de Rothschild has always been committed to community life. Thus, she is Chair of CARE France since 2007, and member of the Supervisory Board and Treasurer of CARE International since 2004. She is also Director of the Rothschild Foundation since 1996.
Arielle Malard de Rothschild is the author of a book entitled “Co-financements Banque Mondiale – Banques Commerciales” (University Press of France, 1986) and co-author of “Et la confiance, bordel?” (Ed. Eyrolles, 2014).
Arielle Malard de Rothschild is a Knight of the Legion of Honour.
